VicPolice GLLO Show – Wednesday 7th September 2001 on JOY 94.9

Senior Constable Gerard De Leon joined Victoria Police in 2005 and is one of Victoria Police’s newest Gay and Lesbian Liaison Officers (GLLO) having completed the GLLO course in July 2011.  Gerard is attached to the Operations Response Unit (ORU).  The ORU provides highly visible and highly trained police to assist local police in responding to identified policing issues.  What does all this mean, and why is there a GLLO in the ORU, well you should have listened to the show, but if you didn’t you can always download the podcast.

White Balloon Day is in response to child sexual abuse.  Acting Sergeant Electra Wellens, talks about why White Balloon Day has come into the annual calendar.
